BOOK TWO in The Tales of Monarchy Rae, There Will be Four, is filled with adventure, danger, love, and some fine gay sex. Forced to leave the small town of Gaeburn because of his Out-coming in Book One, Lake travels to his hometown of Morningwood, accompanied by his friend and lover, the huge “Mega,†Bull. [Megas are huge, tall, very muscular and strong men.] They plan on obtaining Lake’s inheritance from his wealthy parents, and then travel to Terrymide, the home of the Megas.
Lake knows he will be rejected by his family in Morningwood, but he has no idea how bad it will be. After his family spurns him, in the dark of night, Lake and Bull leave Morningwood and set out for Terrymide. But the Monarch’s Sentries are monitoring all of the Paths, seeking to prosecute all Manmen (men who love men). Plus, there be Scrablers out there too. The Journey to Terrymide is fraught with peril: Kidnapping, shipwrecks, those pesky Scrablers, and even marauders.
What Lake doesn’t know, though, is that getting to Terrymide is the easy part. Once there, he has to make the most difficult decision of his life.
